Join British music legend Gary Barlow as he embarks on a culinary adventure through Australia in his latest ITV travel series, Gary Barlow’s Food and Wine Tour: Australia. Celebrating 30 years since Take That first toured the country, Gary returns Down Under — this time not just to perform, but to indulge his love of food and wine.
In Melbourne, follow in Gary’s footsteps as he visits the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground, explores hidden city laneways and learns the art of making top-notch coffee. Beyond the city, Gary heads to the beautiful Bellarine Peninsula where captain and owner of Portarlington Mussel Tours, Lance Wiffen, takes visitors out on a mussel trawler to learn how to cultivate, harvest and cook some of the finest mussels in Australia.
Guests on the Deluxe seafood tour can enjoy an Ocean Aged Vintage Cuvee brought to them by underwater wine waiter Glenn Eberbach, owner and creator of Ocean Aged Wines. The bottled wine is aged on lees (a byproduct of fermentation) for a minimum five years, with an extra 1-2 years submerged in the ocean. Unlike traditional storage, the gentle motion of ocean currents maintains the yeast lees in suspension. This enhances the maturation process producing a fresh and complex wine with incredible length and finesse.
